This home is located on the shore of Lake Almanor. Separate, 1200 sq. ft., two story guest house. Sleeps 7 people. Downstairs has 1 bedroom with a California King size bed. 1 full Bathroom with a tub/shower. House has an open concept with full kitchen (full size refrigerator/oven/stove/microwave/dishwasher/small pantry.) All cookware, dishes, linens etc. provided. We encourage a "pay it forward" for consumables like dish soap, laundry soap, seasonings, etc. Guest must provide all paper products (ie. Toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, napkins). Guest brings their own food and personal hygiene items (shampoo, soap, toothpaste). Kitchen is open to dining area and living room. There is a clothes washer and dryer in a closet in the master bedroom. Upstairs is an open loft that is divided by a stairwell. One side of the loft has 3 twin beds and the other side has 2 twin beds that are pushed together to make a king size bed (these can be separated if you want). All bed and bath linens are provided. There are buckets of toys and books and puzzles for younger children. The living room has an electric fireplace, a television with satellite, and a dvd player. We have wireless high speed DSL /internet but no telephone. Cell phones generally work well. The lakeside deck has a table, Adirondack chairs, and a full size bar-b-que as well as stairs to access the yard down to the lakeshore. We are within walking distance of our association?s recreation area (playground, basketball, bocce ball) tennis courts, and 9 hole golf. If you have a boat or rent one, there is a boat ramp down the road (ask us for the key to unlock the boat ramp gate prior to your arrival). We have a lovely walking/bicycle trail that we can tell you about that meanders along the west shore of the lake for about 11 miles. If there is snow, (usually sometime between November and April) there is a sled hill about 5 miles away or you can drive about 30 minutes towards Mt. Lassen Natl. Park off Hwy 36 and find snow to play in there. You can play in the snow at the house but it?s too level for downhill sledding. We have contracted snow removal for the driveway and the roads are plowed by the county. Home has very limited availability mid-May through September. Off season, October through mid-May is much more likely to have availability. Maximum stay is 7 days. Home is available to full time pastor and missionary families only. Owners appreciate a contribution of $75 to cover the cost for the housecleaner (but this is voluntary).
